Marine Ecology

Discover how marine life is interconnected. You’ll learn how food chains work, how species influence each other, and what keeps ecosystems like coral reefs and kelp forests in balance.

What can you expect?

Marine Ecology was developed for snorkelers and divers who want to understand the interconnectedness within marine ecosystems. This specialty program offers in-depth knowledge about interactions between organisms and the dynamics of ocean life.

During this program, you’ll learn how energy flows through food chains, how ecosystems function, and why environments like coral reefs, kelp forests, and the open ocean each have their own unique characteristics. You’ll develop a better understanding of ecological processes and learn to recognize patterns while snorkeling or diving.

Marine Ecology focuses entirely on knowledge development, environmental awareness, and a deeper understanding of underwater life.
